Oct 31, 2010
The Internet is a vast virtual environments. Child - the child can access all information from a small thing, to go far. They can communicate with each other anywhere in the world, share experiences and hobbies, and alsothey can play games to improve skills and coordination with each other. Children can also access thepornography, and terrorism matters. When experiencing addiction, children are vulnerable in sexualsolicitation and predation, cyber bullying, and harassment.

Although the media are very quick to report in a situation where the child is exposed to the impact of the internet, we are just starting to learn how children use the Internet, their exposure to resources that are not desirable, and how these exposures affect their development.

Very little research to know the effects of pornography on children who open a pornography site. Pornography is generally found around the internet. Image of pornography available on the website billions and perhaps hundreds or even thousands of Internet resources.

Many ways, a child access pornography by way of intentional and unintentional. They can access pornography through web searches (eg searching about sex from google) or via the address that allows. After all the kids really liked the access to pornography by accident. Spreader pornography can create emails that are not useful or invites the recipient to access pornography.
More and more news involving children because of the internet. Parents became concerned that their children farther from home, because the kids getting into the Internet environment.

A number of children reported as victims of Internet harassment, they also reported as perpetrators of Internet harassment. Ybarra and Mitchell analyzed the characteristics of the children of internet safety youth survey who reported about abuse because of the internet. Ybarra and Mitchell found that 15% of survey respondents indicated that youth Internet safety in the past year many children have been making rude comments or evil to others and 1% used the Internet to harass someone. Based on the results of their research, Ybarra and Mitchell argue that the anonymity of the Internet allows some children to be more aggressive in the life of the internet than they express it in real life.

In summary, research on internet usage and the occurrence of violence is very tight. Internet access more impact on the violence and abuse against children. However, the incident can be more devastating toll on children.
There are several approaches detrimental effects that have been used to protect children from the internet. One approach is to regulate what material can be distributed online internet act as approved by the united states congress in 1998, prohibits commercial internet service provider of distribution is inappropriate for minors. although this law has never taken effect because of court challenges, the law violates the first amendment right to free speech, many states have enacted laws similar. in response to a potential law, many pornography sites shut down, only for the other dominant outside the United States.

As mentioned earlier, another approach to protect children from the dangers of the Internet has become the development of software to filter children's access to resources. In part, this comes from the Internet laws of child protection measures (CIPA) passed by the congress of the United States in 2000. Many schools and public libraries need to install filtering software on all computers in order to be eligible for federal funding. CIPA although it has partly affected by the Supreme Court, many states have enacted similar laws. many schools and libraries have installed filtering software and commercial companies such as net nanny and cyber sitter engaged in extensive marketing of their screening program to parents.

The relationship between intentions and actual behavior of complex and children are not likely meterjemahkan their new knowledge and attitudes toward the Internet for safe behavior on the Internet. software solutions can help children learn to control their behavior on the Internet by forcing them to critically assess Internet resources before using it only as caretakers of children to cross the street safely. intelligent software solutions can be created to help children explore the Internet. him than just a resource block, a new version of the filtering software allows access to most resources and requires children to correctly answer a series of critical questions before proceeding to the assessment of all resources.

The Internet is a lot of unlimited virtual environment with many possibilities for positive child development and exploration. children can visit many places, explore the many cultures, trying a lot of technology, and communicate with many different people. These experiences help children develop cognitive and social. Internet also has a seamy side. children could be exposed to pornography and hate, harassment, stalking, and kidnapped. by empowering our children to acquire skills of critical appraisal and be Internet wise, we can help them expand their minds and secure world through the internet
